The space This is a 1 story open concept house with 6 bedrooms and a total of 8 beds. There are 2.5 bathrooms. It has a gorgeous master bath and an additional bathroom on the other side of the home. Two bedrooms have a king bed and 3 bedrooms have a queen. There is a bedroom with a bunk bed that can sleep 4 people comfortably. All the beds are outfitted with super comfortable mattresses and linen. This is an ideal home for family and multigenerational gatherings. The outdoors are the highlight of the property with a sparkly blue swimming pool and jacuzzi nestled in a spacious backyard and enough space for your furry friends to run around! There is a outdoor fire pit for all to gather and chat. Guest access The whole house Other things to note Oceanside is sunny all year long ! Come and enjoy a true « Descanso » (or rest in Spanish ) at Villa Descanso! “Chillaxation” at its finest! Hot Tub is heated free of charge and takes just a few minutes to reach maximum hotness! In winter, it can take a bit longer. Pool stays warm during the summer. Pool can be heated to 80-85 degrees in winter for an additional $100/ night for a min of 3 days. This is our second time spending Christmas at this beautiful home. It is fully equipped for a large meal never feeling like we are missing something. It’s also the first pool over the years that actually heats up even in December!! We had a family emergency and the host was extremely understanding and responsive. Can’t recommend this place enough for a family gathering. We will be back!

I recently stayed at Maries’s place in Oceanside, and it was a wonderful experience! The property was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The check-in process was smooth, and Marie was very responsive and accommodating throughout my stay. The neighborhood was peaceful, and I especially loved the comfortable bed and relaxing heated pool. It truly felt like a home away from home. Our host Marie and Elodie were amazing. Great communication, quick response. Instructions were very clear. House was amazing, spacious and clean. The backyard had a great dining area and pool was visible from every point of backyard. Rooms are spacious and neat. We loved the space in the living room, kitchen and dining room. Kids enjoy the time during our stay. We will definitely be booking again.

The layout of the house made it comfortable for 4 families. The gated pool was perfect for small kids and the hot tub heated up in no time. Lots of TV’s for those who like choices- navigating the remotes could use some instruction. One full bedroom is off the main suite bedroom which essentially connects two rooms and makes access an issue- we didn’t catch that in the description. The outdoor space is wonderful including fire pit at night. Beds are very comfortable and linens are high quality. Lots of dishes, pans, glasses to choose from- including child plates, forks, spoons, etc. We had a few issues with things and host response was quick and friendly. No ice was definitely a first world issue but we were on vacation and going and getting your own ice didn’t fit the vibe we were looking for (no ice trays either)-

We've never stayed at an Airbnb as a whole family. My husband, both of our children and their families stayed at the house. There were eleven of us and we had plenty of room. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Check-in instructions were very clear. As were the check-out instructions. We really enjoyed our stay. We had a wonderful time. Amazing stay - we were here to celebrate our dad's 90th birthday with kids and grandkids (plus one great grandson!) and the place didn't disappoint. Well equipped throughout and with inside and outside/poolside seating for a lot of folks made this a great gathering spot. Marie our host was super-helpful and communicative and when we asked about something she didn't have it was ordered and delivered within a day.

My family (including 6 adults, 4 children, and 1 dog) were extremely pleased with our stay. I appreciated the attention to detail- from a very stocked kitchen with spices, coffee, and tea; lots of kids games and beach toys; and to the added security of a fenced in pool (which we spent a lot of time in). When we had an issue with the AC, Marie was quick to respond and had people out to fix it within a couple of hours. I would highly recommend! Thank you!

This was our second time staying at this house. It was everything we needed. We had 10 people with us and the fact that there are 6 rooms and plenty of beds everyone had their own space and no one felt crowded. The pool was an added bonus as the kids were in the pool every morning before the beach and every night after the beach. The location of the house is great as it’s about 15-20 min from Carlsbad beach where we like to go! The one thing we wish the house had was boogie boards since the waves were amazing at the beach. We didn’t bring much with us since the house had everything else and we didn’t have enough room in the car. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the host were very responsive when I had to reach out. We are def planning on staying here again next year for our annual family trip.

Beautiful house with plenty of space for our party of 9! We were in town for a wedding and wanted a space where we could relax, catch up and have space to get ready and this place was all of the above. The June gloom was in full effect so we could not enjoy the outside as much as we wanted but the indoor space was just as great if not better. Beds were very comfortable and the living room couch comfortably fit all of us. Would highly recommend this place for large groups!

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb's over the years and I think this was one of the nicest. House had lovely decor. Beds were SUPER comfy (really!!). Extra blankets were provided (always a plus!) and one of the best equipped kitchens ever! Tons of cutlery, glasses and even a nice selection of spices!!! We had such a good time we are already planning our return. The only tiny downside was running out of gas for the grill mid cook, BUT Hosts were so responsive we found a quick easy solution. So maybe just check to see how much gas there is before you BBQ. Pool was WONDERFUL!

Our two families enjoyed our stay at Villa Descanso. The kids loved the pool and were in/out from the moment they woke up through the evenings. The adults enjoyed the outdoor firepit…once we confirmed how to safely use it. The owners were super quick to reply to my message asking about it! The home is exactly like the photos. However what you do not see is how fully stocked the house is for your arrival. We didn’t need toiletries, paper goods, trash bags, laundry/dishwasher pods, coffee, tea (amazing selection), any kitchen utensils, or even band aids. The house had it all!

Great find, was looking for a rental house near our wedding location at Botanica near by. There were plenty of options, but this place had the most amenities, in the best location, for the best price. Neighborhood was quiet, and very clean. House was pristine, and well decorated with nice appliances, everything new. Bedrooms were super comfy, heating also worked great as it was mid winter and temperatures dropped at night. Host Marie was also very helpful and responded quickly to any questions. Will stay here again in the future if in the area.

My friends and I celebrated forty years of friendship in this beautiful location. The five of us had our own separate bedroom. Each bedroom was beautiful. We enjoyed the hot tub, heated pool and went to the beach. We didn’t want to leave the house because it was even more beautiful than the pictures. We definitely plan on coming back.
